Wasteland Weekend

My main costumes for the Wasteland Weekend, the weekend 23rd to 25th Sept.

Road warrior, and toxic priest!

The Wasteland Gates, we just arrived, time to adopt a 'tude!

Warrior Mx in the Wasteland! Airbrushing and costuming to achieve that bad ass look.

Some airbrushing detail, and a close-up of the sexiness @ the Atomic cafe.

Saturday night airbrushing for our big show, and show we did, we rocked the crap out of the dusty little barter town!

I maintained the theme for all three of our performers, varying slightly for personality.
Blinded by the atom bomb!

Armageddon-base-face was prevalent in the morning, thanks to some filthy post-apocalyptic dubstep.

Angelic Beast

Pre-'lipstick' shot, the smouldering Miss Salinas finally getting some airbrush work done. I started off with a general idea of what I wanted to do, which was an almost tribal/animal style pattern, mixed with something a little spiritual.

I think it turned out really well.

Finished, black 'lipstick' ties the whole flow of the face shape into one smooth flow.

With the eyes closed you can see the feminine 'flicks'/'spikes' I added to blow out her eyes, and keep her looking foxy! (I've made the mistake in the past of over-working certain aspects and ending up coming out a bit masculine, so not falling into that trap ever again, I hope).

As mentioned in a previous picture, I was going for an almost tribal/animal style pattern, mixed with something a little spiritual.

Blacklights revisited

Further blacklight experimentation!

It's really hard to find a fine blend of black to cleanly go over the bright colours that will also look more natural in normal light. Have to be really sharp if I'm doing the multi-layer, multi-light-level attempts.

Another experiment, that I sadly don't have sharp pictures of, was a 'torn off skin' attempt with cogs and machinery showing underneath. Maybe next time!

Going for flare, this one turned out really well, especially with the contrast of her hair in the blacklights.

The face worked out nice and sharp, and I went for a 'sound burst'/'aurora' look on the chest and upper arms. GOt a bit of bleed on the green, but otherwise looks very cool.
